This is the most researched department of our hospital. LASIK is one of the refractive surgeries that can reduce dependence on glasses and contact lenses. Because we take your eyes very seriously, before Disha jumped on to the LASIK band wagon,we closely watched all the results internationally for 6 years. We then went to all the centres individually to follow their patients till we were totally convinced. In 2007, we got the best technology, the Wavelight Allegreto AG (German) technology which is the fastest Excimer LASIK laser with the most efficient Radar Eye tracking system and a pentacam (oculyzer) to screen out risk cases. The OcuLink software enables customised cornea based refractive treatments.

LASIK treats the disease where our eyes need external help to see. We can now correct this defect by reshaping the cornea with laser. The laser cuts with immaculate precision at less than a micron every time. Today after 3 years of treating more than 800 patients we can be very happy with the smiles they give us. No results could be more satisfying than this!

Today refractive surgery is the second most common eye surgery. The 10 year worldwide follow up results are excellent. With LASIK we can also correct residual astigmatism after cataract surgery and keratoplasty.

The refractive surgery department also does PRK, Epilasik, RLE and phakic IOLs for cases which are not suitable for LASIK.
